A career in Finance, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help PwC in all aspects of our Finance internal function including financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with overall strategy.
You’ll focus on recording and analysing financial transactions, paying and receiving invoices, maintaining financial statement ledger accounts, and preparing analysis and reconciliations of bills to detect fraud.
As a part of our Payroll team, you’ll help PwC manage and administer timely, accurate, and efficient processing of our payroll operations.
You’ll help manage the Payroll account ledgers, prepare tax reports and documents, and perform routine internal audits to make sure our system is always compliant with federal, state, and local laws.

Job Requirements and Preferences: Basic Qualifications: Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree Additional Educational Requirements: At least 10 years of progressive experience in Finance, HR Systems, and/or Payroll may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor Degree.
Minimum Years of Experience: 8 year(s) of payroll, accounting, finance or PwC experience Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Knowledge/Skills: Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts in the following areas: Overseeing Payroll operations, establishing accurate and timely payment of staff, in compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding withholdings and deductions; Collaborating with outsourced provider (Ceridian) to streamline payroll processes and addressing any issues; Driving improvements and efficiencies in collaborating with Human Capital, Finance, and other departments to establish industry-leading processes for payroll and related programs, including effective internal controls and automation of workflows to enable efficient, accurate, and timely processing of payroll; Implementing industry-leading practices and controls to mitigate risks associated with payroll operations; Staying updated on federal, state, and local payroll regulations, labor laws, and tax requirements to establish compliance; Monitoring changes on global regulatory requirements and making recommendations to adapt or change our policy and procedures; Managing relationships with multiple stakeholders, including HR, Finance, and external vendors; Building a reputation as a collaborator with the ability to influence and facilitate change across the organization; Collaborating with Accounting to assist with journal entries, account reconciliations, and other accounting duties related to payroll; Preparing and analyzing payroll reports for review by Leadership; Maintaining and establishing pay policies, payroll calendars, checklists, tax deadlines, and procedural documentation; Developing consistent global processes and coordinate efforts across multiple territories to standardize processes in line with statutory requirements, while allowing for local flexibility as needed; Researching additional provider offerings to enhance and deliver a cutting-edge Payroll experience for staff; Leading a team of payroll professionals in different regions, establishing high performance and collaboration; Managing day-to-day escalations and acting as a business partner to resolve issues requiring additional assistance; Monitoring tickets/escalations, conducting root cause analysis to prevent issues from impacting multiple staff members; Handling payroll inquiries and audits from federal, state, and local taxing authorities; Exhibiting specialized knowledge of principles, practices, and functions of full-cycle in-house payroll organization, including federal and state regulations and laws governing wage and labor compliance and keeping policy at the forefront of the Payroll organization; Demonstrating proven ability to build proactive and collaborative teams that foster partnerships across organizations, with a continuous improvement mindset; Applying thought-leader level experience as a Global Payroll Director with both US with oversight of multi-state, multi-entity and multi-territory payroll department; Displaying an in-depth understanding in collaborating with outsourced providers including Ceridian; Ensuring success in working virtually and navigating complex international and matrixed organizations; Possessing proven ability to organize and manage processes to multiple tasks while prioritizing in a fast-paced, demanding environment; Demonstrating proven ability to lead or support special cross-functional projects involving the Payroll team; and, Possessing proven record of success in identifying process improvements, quantifying return on investment and executing improvement opportunities to completion.
