About Walmart Business: Walmart Business is a new initiative to save businesses, nonprofits and governments time, money and hassle so they can focus on their missions.
Our aim is to leverage existing Walmart assets and build new capabilities to better serve organizational buyers.
We're bringing together the Every Day Low Prices, assortment, omnichannel capabilities, and store footprint and community presence of Walmart with new experiences and functionality tailored to the unique needs of organizations.
The organization is currently seeking a Senior Manager who will target small to mid-sized business sales within the public sector, and will report to our Director of new business development.
You will use your 5-7 years' experience selling to government entities, including state, local, education buyers to successfully grow and scale revenue while contributing to the development of commercial capabilities needed to reach more customers.
This will include identifying new opportunities for growth, driving long-term initiatives, and building partnerships up to C-Suite level to unlock spend with Walmart Business.
You will help customers ensure their business goals are met by selling Walmart Business' core features and capabilities.
You will ensure recommended solutions meet our customer's procurement needs and will recommend approaches and alternatives that fit their environment, including contracting and competitive requirements unique to public institutions.
As an individual contributor, you will be supported by a cross-functional team in product, engineering, operations, and marketing.
The ideal candidate will have relevant consultative sales experience in B2BeCommerce experience and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals and revenue targets.

Lead the sales process for public sector entities within the assigned territory or segment.
Engage with customers up to the VP/SVP level, including roles such as CPO, Director of Purchasing and Purchasing Card Administrator.
Demonstrate the ability to identify, discuss, and contribute to the customer's procurement strategy.
Define customers' needs to inform how Walmart Business can best address them.
Encourage and guide customers to take high value actions to deepen their engagement and increase their spend with Walmart Business.
Identify new innovations, features or service requirements which would unlock future spend or efficiencies for customers.
Identify unmet needs to feed into the planning / discovery / development processes.
Identify new opportunities for growth, driving long-term plans, and building partnerships up to C-Suite level to unlock sales and services spend with Walmart Business.
Come up with early solutions to demonstrate viability and then help determine how to institutionalize and scale.
You will make an impact by: Advocating for the organizational customer Delivering results by exceeding targets Using data-driven decision making Being scrappy and "filling the void"-coming up with early solutions to demonstrate viability, and then helping the organization figure out how to institutionalize and scale Rapidly learning and skillfully articulating Walmart Business's value proposition of helping organizations save time, money, and hassle What You'll Bring: BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience required.
5+ years of B2B and/or eCommerce sales experience Experience in identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing opportunities across a wide spectrum of customer engagement levels Experience meeting and exceeding goals and revenue targets.
Experience with CRM tools like Salesforce.
Preferred Qualifications: 5-7 years' experience selling to government entities, including state, local, education buyers to grow and scale revenue while contributing to the development of commercial capabilities needed to reach more customers.
Knowledge of procurement and source to pay methods in public sector procurement.
