Job Description: Position Title: Guest Services Intern Position Type: Paid Intern Division: Crystal Bridges Department: Guest Services Reports to: Guest Services Manager Museum Overview Crystal Bridges is a museum of American art located in Bentonville, Arkansas.
We explore the unfolding story of America by actively collecting, exhibiting, interpreting, and preserving outstanding works that illuminate the American heritage and artistic possibilities.

Position Summary The Guest Services Internship with Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is designed to provide high school interns with an understanding of all aspects of the Guest Services department.
This is the perfect internship for students who are still uncertain about their career path.
This internship will provide potential career pathways and stress the importance of customer service and leadership.
Areas will include scheduling, budgeting, strategizing, goal development, guest interaction, and other administrative tasks.
The intern will work closely with department leadership and staff to provide on-site support to the Guest Services team and museum guests.
Areas of Support The Guest Services Intern will perform the following duties: Assist the Guest Services Administrative Assistant with scheduling, timecard processing, budgeting, event planning, onboarding, and other duties as assigned.
Work with Guest Services Shift Leads on associate training and development, rotation building, and goal setting.
Assist the Call Center Lead with guest inquiries and ticketing requests.
Learn the roles of Guest Services Associates and assist guests in lobby spaces.
Help set goals and track results for various performance indicators.
Attend and participate in departmental and museum meetings.
Minimum Qualifications: Education, Training and Traits: High school interns must be at least 16 years old by Monday, September 25th.
Skills and Abilities: Willingness to learn Effective time management Active listening Ability to communicate Attention to detail Timeline Applications due Friday, September 15th Intern selected by Friday, September 29th Anticipated Start Date: Monday, October 9th Required Documents Cover Letter Resume At least one letter of recommendation; please submit a maximum of two.
Schedule September 25th-December 15th 10 or 12 weeks 10-15 hours a week Weekly schedule to be arranged with intern supervisor Compensation High School: $12 Undergraduate: $13 Graduate: $14 Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an intern to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Physical demands: In the work environment described below, position requires work at a desk, utilizing a computer and a telephone for prolonged periods of time, good eye/hand coordination, bending and stretching for filing, and physical stamina to lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a height of at least three feet for file and materials storage as appropriate for the demands of the office.
Visual acuity to review written materials is required for this job.
Work environment: Work will be performed in an office environment and museum spaces.
The noise level in the museum work environment is usually low to moderate.
If the intern’s personal equipment is used, the museum accepts no liability for any damage caused to said equipment while being used for museum purposes, nor loss or corruption of electronic files on devices.
