SUMMARY
Register hotel guests, quote rooms, and handle requests expeditiously.
Provide outstanding front desk service, ensuring an exceptional hotel guest experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following:
Records reservations received verbally or in writing and enters into hotel computer system.
Quotes rates and room availability in accordance with established procedures.
Follows appropriate procedures to process and/or cancel reservations.
Answers promptly all telephones at Front Desk and routes calls and/or provides assistance and information to all callers.
Provides prompt, accurate, and efficient check-in, check-out, and reservation services to all guests and callers.
Informs guest of all required information; answers questions guest may pose regarding resort and/or local area attractions.
Communicates, cooperates, and coordinates with co-workers, supervisors and managers in the Hotel Department and all other departments.
Processes accurate cash and credit card transactions.
Promotes the hotel/casino and all its services and facilities.
Works closely with Housekeeping, Group Sales and the VIP Services office to ensure guests needs are met.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY
No supervisory/management authority.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 1 month of guest service experience.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Basic written, communication and computer skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work may be performed in a variety of settings, including climate-controlled office settings and casino floors which includes exposure to second-hand smoke and crowd noise.
Work will require varied shifts including, weekends and holidays, as needed.
Work requires lifting objects up to 50lbs and standing for long periods of time.
