Our work environment includes: * Modern office setting * Modern office setting * On-the-job training Job Overview: We are seeking an Adult Development Personal Care and Safety Instructor to join our team.
As an Adult Development Personal Care and Safety Instructor, you will be responsible for working one-on-one with clients to achieve individualized personal care goals and objectives, meet toileting needs, and oversee dispersal of all medications for the center.
Responsible for monthly transportation documentation and all safety drills for the center.

, dress appropriately, be punctual and dependable, maintain a positive attitude, follow the established chain of command, etc.
- Assist in formulation and revision of Person Centered Service Plan (PCSP) as a member of the client’s interdisciplinary team, and follow prescribed activities, with a focus on health care needs, to meet individual objectives and record progress.
- Select and/or develop training methods and materials for use in maximizing clients’ individual health/personal care needs.
May include toileting assistance, catheter care, tube feeding, strength building and range of motion exercises etc.
- Document and oversee regular safety drills (Fire, Tornado, Van, Bomb Threats etc.
) - Collect and secure all medications for the center (both Rx and OTC).
Monitor and document all medications dispensed at the center.
- Review and submit monthly transportation records to the Safety Department.
- Compile and update Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for the center.
- Document and submit incident/behavior reports to the Director of Day Services of designee.
- Instruct and supervise clients in maintenance and importance of policies, set forth in the iLearn/iWork Client Handbook.
- Instruct clients in safety and in maintenance of clean work areas.
- Attend staff meetings, team meetings, supervisory sessions and in-service meetings as required.
- Transport clients to various training sites as necessary after completing six hours of in-service training.
- Adult Development Personal Care & Safety Instructors may be cross-trained and expected to work in additional areas of the Training Center.
- Working safely is a condition of employment.
Must wear protective equipment as job tasks require.
