Fayetteville Montessori School is seeking Substitute Teachers to join our faculty and staff community.
This is a part-time position (can grow into a full-time position) located in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
The Substitute Teacher will care and nurture children aged 6 weeks to 5 years, when the lead or assistant teacher is not available.
Responsibilities:
Create a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for students.
Help students learn, develop, and communicate according to Montessori principles.
Observe children in the classroom to identify ways to enhance their learning experience and increase retention of Montessori best practices.
Communicate with parents through email and verbal conversations throughout the school year.
Collaborate with other guides and faculty to develop ways to enhance or improve the educational experience for students.
Create a positive and educational atmosphere for children.
Attend and engage in meetings for faculty and staff.
Ensure the classroom is clean and welcoming to students and parents.
Comfortable changing diapers.
Requirements:
1 Year Experience in Child Care with Children.
High School Diploma or GED
Possess exceptional organization skills, be detailed oriented, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
Be an effective communicator and active listener
Must be able to work a variation of days Monday through Friday between the hours of 7am-2pm, 8am-5pm, 1pm-6pm, or 3pm-6pm.
