My starter flock came from McMurray Hatchery 4 years ago.
The younger the hen, the whiter they are.
As they age, they darken a little, they will not remain bright white.
When the chicks hatch, they will be black and yellow.
When I first got my chicks from McMurray, I contacted them wondering if I’d gotten the wrong breed (their website showed a yellow chick at the time).
I was assured this was not the case.
When they feathered out, they were indeed Light Brahmas.
Please do your research about this breed.
They are beautiful, docile chickens that lay large brown eggs.
As with any breed, the older the hen, the larger the egg.
