*Purpose:*
To plan and implement an ongoing program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child enrolled in your class that follows the expectations set with the Raising Hope Preschool and Daycare approach to teaching and learning.
*Qualifications:*
* Must meet and follow all the requirements for Arkansas Minimum Licensing Requirements for Child Care Centers and Arkansas Better Beginnings.
* Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred.
* Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
* Must be able to lift to 35 lbs.
in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergencies.
* Must be okay with getting dirty and playing interactively with the children.
* Must do 15 hours a year of continual training with PDR.
* Must be able to teach with a Christian Curriculum.

*Responsibilities*:
* Responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children.
* Must know all your children’s ages and what their ratio is.
* Observes all rules and regulations at Raising Hope Preschool and Daycare concerning the health, safety, and care of children.
* Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule set by Raising Hope Preschool and Daycare’s curriculum and programming.
At the same time, understanding the interests of children and creating a fun experience and supplemental curriculum.
* Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore, and make decisions with confidence.
* It provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing precise and consistent expectations for their behavior.
* Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas, and playgrounds.
* Maintains overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines offered in the Raising Hope Preschool and Daycare Employee Handbook
* Assists in other capacities that the Director determines are necessary.
