Job Details:
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for trading on the Tyson Central Hedge Desk and management of commodity risk management programs such as trading across grain, energy, and food grade markets.
In addition, this position ensures timing of hedge liquidations to business unit input buys or finished goods sales programs.
Facilitates positions with finance teams to ensure accuracy; report closed results and back testing of risk management strategies; facilitates cash settlements of OTC products.
This position also develops and maintains risk management models and hedge tools and grows business relationships with external counterparties such as information providers like brokers, banks, and research entities like Bloomberg and leverages these centers of knowledge to provide commentary and opinion of market in all appropriate settings such as Business Unit meetings, weekly risk management meetings, and daily morning meetings and provides personal analysis and trade recommendations to the VP as appropriate.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Certifications: Finance, economics, or similar degree required with specialized certification or training preferrable
Experience: 7+ years of applicable experience and education
Computer Skills: Advanced Microsoft capabilities with necessary knowledge of trade systems
Communication Skills: High written and verbal communication and presentation skills required
Special Skills: Derivate market and trade knowledge
Travel: 3-5 trips per year
